Abstract

This project proposes the development of a novel small-molecule anticancer immunotherapy strategy by combining copper(II) and manganese(II) coordination compounds with curcumin for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The team from the Republic of Moldova will carry out the synthesis and characterization of  coordination compounds with selected thiosemicarbazone/isothiosemicarbazone ligands, while the partners from Turkey will perform biological and immunological assays to validate the underlying mechanisms. The project will enable the identification of compounds with therapeutic potential, the definition of specific biomarkers, and the establishment of a sustainable platform for the future development of transition-metal-based immunomodulatory drugs.
