Research areas
The current research directions of the laboratory are focused on biomedicine and advanced/innovative materials.
The main research activities are centered on the design, targeted synthesis, and comprehensive characterization of novel coordination compounds of biometals with multifunctional ligands containing NNS, SNO, and related donor atom sets. These studies aim to develop molecular inhibitors of cancer cell proliferation, as well as agents exhibiting antimicrobial and antifungal properties.
In addition, the laboratory investigates the assembly of functional materials and supramolecular systems with practical applications in the biopharmaceutical sector.
