At the same time, we congratulate Dr. in chemistry Elena Gorincioi, leading scientific researcher from the Laboratory of Organic Synthesis on the occasion of the repeated successful award by CERIC, for realization of the research projects employing the power of NMR spectroscopy. Our colleague has benefited from the open access experimental facilities and kind support that has been offered by the staff of Slovenian Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Center from National Institute of Chemistry from Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Ongoing investigations are exploring DNA-ligand interactions, involving detailed NMR studies on bioactive compounds obtained within the Institute of Chemistry and model sequences both of duplex and non-canonical structure DNA. Studies within the research project are mainly dedicated to deciphering the molecular mechanisms that govern the biogenesis of cancer.
