Research areas

Organic and bioorganic chemistry; chemistry of natural and physiologically active compounds; elaboration of chemo-, regio- and stereoselective methods of the synthesis of optically active norlabdanic and drimanic compounds, including nitrogen and halogen-containing derivatives, as well as terpeno-heterocyclic hybrid compounds on the basis of accessible natural labdane diterpenoid sclareol; the elucidation of reaction mechanisms and optimal conditions of obtaining the mentioned compounds; the targeted synthesis of new compounds with high  the potential of biological activity, with the application of computational methods for forecasting activity, with further possibilities for industrial applications.
